You shall put these words of mine in your heart and soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and fix them as an emblem on your forehead. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. - Deuteronomy 11.18-19
New City Catechism - a teaching tool
Today many churches and Christian organizations publish “statements of faith” that outline their beliefs. But in the past it was expected that documents of this nature would be so biblically rich and carefully crafted that they would be memorized and used for Christian growth and training. They were written in the form of questions and answers.
Mobile AppAvailable for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, The New City Catechism mobile app makes it easy to take all 52 questions and answers with you wherever you go. The free app pairs each question and answer with a Scripture reading from the ESV, a short prayer, and a devotional commentary written by contemporary pastors, including John Piper, Timothy Keller, and Kevin DeYoung, and historical figures, such as Augustine, John Calvin, Martin Luther, and many others. The app also includes kid-friendly songs designed to help children memorize the entire catechism. http://newcitycatechism.com/ |

What are St Francis College Short Courses?
Imagine a locally-produced six-episode course with videos featuring faith experts and discussion questions designed to be used by you on your own or with a group. That’s what SFC Short Courses are! Each episode features a 25 minute video and questions for reflection or discussion. If you use the short course with a group, you could watch each week’s video at home and then gather to have the discussion, referring to the video on a tablet of TV if you need to. That’s called the “Flipped Classroom” method! Archbishop Phillip and Bishop Jonathan would like to welcome you to SFC Short Courses. Spare a minute to watch and catch the enthusiasm! |
NT Wright Online
NT Wright online is your official site for information regarding online classes that are being developed by Prof. N.T. Wright of St. Andrews University, Scotland. It is our hope that you would have the best on-line learning experience featuring courses based on the teaching of N.T. Wright.
The courses contain video lecture material, written material to augment the videos, textbook recommendations, assessment tools (i.e., quizzes), and discussion sections so you can dialogue on-line with fellow students from around the world. This will help us to “be transformed by the renewing of the mind.” Courses offered at ntwrightonline.org are made possible through the collaboration between N.T. Wright, Professor at St. Andrews University, Scotland, and David Seemuth, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Wisconsin Center for Christian Study. The courses are not affiliated with St. Andrews University and carry no formal credit, but are meant to be sources of enrichment for those who choose to participate in the classes.
